Solarei have put together this animation below showing the extent of the 12pm sun path throughout the year. The house design is the Coatesville Passive Solar House by Solarei.
Passive solar gain optimises low angled winter sun light for natural warmth and passive heating. Concrete (thermal mass) captures and stores sunlight (radiant energy). When external temperatures begin to cool during the evening, heat is then released (or conducted) from the concrete, naturally warming and heating a house.
The house is designed for an anticipated 5500kWh's annually, or an annual energy index of 20.4kWh per/sqm. Internal temperatures passively peak at 24⁰ during later afternoon mid-winter, with the extreme low being 17⁰ during early morning.
